If you are sent to Lincoln Blvd toward the Cape May/Lewes Ferry on the Delaware Bay then you are going the wrong way!

Local Directions Coming from the North

At the end of the Garden State Parkway at mile marker "0", merge left and go through the traffic lights and over the Cape May Canal bridge into Cape May on Rte 109 South. Rte 109 will become Lafayette Street. At the next light, Madison Avenue, make a left turn and continue to the stop sign. The cross street is Beach Avenue. Make a left turn onto Beach Avenue, travel approximately one and a half blocks and look for Rhythm of the Sea on your left.

Local Directions From the Cape May, Lewes Ferry

From the Ferry Drive turn right onto Rt. 9 North. Proceed through two sets of traffic lights. At the intersection of Seashore Road turn right go over the Cape May Canal Bridge, and through the traffic light and continue until coming to a stop sign at the beach. Turn left on Beach Avenue and go 16 blocks to Rhythm of the Sea, located on the left at 1123 Beach Ave. Click here for the Capre May Ferry website

From Philadelphia via Walt Whitman or Ben Franklin Bridge

From either bridge take Rte 42 to the Atlantic City Expressway ($2.00 toll). The expressway intersects the Garden State Parkway at Exit 7S (South). Take the Garden State Parkway South (several tolls of 70c each). There will be a series of flashing lights showing you are nearing the end of the Parkway (ignore signs to Cape May Court House, this is another town and Cape May is 20 minutes away) and then a traffic light at exit "0". Take Rte 109 S over the Canal bridge and continue straight - it will become Lafayette Street. At the next light, Madison Avenue, make a left turn and continue to end to the stop sign. The cross street is Beach Avenue. Make a left turn onto Beach Avenue, travel approximately a block and a half and look for Rhythm of the Sea on your left, just after the Buckingham Motel.

From Baltimore and Washington

Take I-95 North toward Wilmington, Delaware, and follow signs to Delaware Memorial Bridge and I-295. After crossing the bridge move into the right lane and take Rte 40 E toward Atlantic City. From Malaga take Rte 55 South to Rte 47 South. Look for the Rte 347 Bypass to your left and take it until it loops back around and will link up to Rte 47 South again. Rte 83 will be a left hand exit and merges right into Rte 9 South. A few miles along Rte 9 is a traffic light (with a Gas Station on the left side and a Convenience Store on the right side of the left hand turn) and you will turn left here. Pass the Honda Dealership on the left and go under the overpass and turn right into the entrance to the Garden State Parkway South. Take care as you will be merging into the fast lane of traffic. From Washington and Points South, Annapolis or Maryland's Eastern Shore

Consider taking the Cape May-Lewes Ferry. It will be the same amount of actual travel time but the last 75 minutes you are relaxing on a nice boat ride across the Delaware Bay. You can call 1-800-64-FERRY for advance reservations at least 24 hours in advance. When you drive off the ferry continue up Rte 9 North through the North Cape May intersection of Bayshore Road. At the third intersection turn right onto Seashore Road. Continue up over the Canal Bridge and through the next intersection and Seashore will become Broadway. At the end of Broadway the cross street is Beach Avenue. Turn left onto Beach Avenue and travel 16 streets. Pass Philadelphia Ave and look for Rhythm of the Sea on the left
