RESERVATIONS:
Reservations should be made by telephone as far in advance as possible to avoid disappointment. We suggest four months prior to summer weekends. Reservations require a 50% deposit and reservations are not confirmed until deposit is received. We will guarantee a room with a credit card number but prefer a personal check as your form of payment. We recommend booking 3-4 months in advance for popular times.

We make a reasonable effort to keep our availability up to date but the availability display is not 'real-time'. Changes happen quickly so do not hesitate to call for a specific date.
Minimums apply throughout the year unless otherwise accepted under certain circumstances. Occasionally a one-night gap appears between the reservations and this is the circumstance. Three night minimums apply on weekends from Memorial Weekend through Columbus Weekend in October, and Holiday Weekends in quiet season. During the quiet season, regular rates apply on special event dates and December weekends. Two night minimums are valid during the quiet season.
We promote peace and privacy. Our house is insulated well enough for considerate adults, however, young children find us tiresome. We have several rooms that can accommodate a family with well-mannered young people (sorry, no pets of any age!). Consider our Carriage House suite for young families with babe-in-arms or a toddler and we will bring the breakfast over for the adults! That way, you enjoy the bed and breakfast accommodation and your little one can be themselves and not disturb the other guest's quiet time.
Check-in is anytime between 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM. Checkout is by 11:00 AM however you can use the property until 1:00 PM. We are a small inn and do not have a night clerk. However, arrangements can be made to accommodate a later check-in if you are anticipating arriving after 6:00 PM. Please inform us at time of booking if you require a late check-in so we can go over our procedure with you. We require your cell phone number so we can be in touch with you on the road if necessary.
Cancellations: There are no refunds or changes on one-night bookings & gift certificates. If you cancel prior to 15 days of your scheduled arrival, a $35 administrative fee will be charged for each room reserved. If you cancel within 15 days of your scheduled arrival, a one-night fee (per room) will be charged. If you cancel within three days of your scheduled arrival, the entire reservation will be charged to your account. Management is not responsible for inclement weather, health issues, early departures or for any other reason beyond our control. Refunds are at Innkeeper's discretion based on re-rental of room.
Smoking is not permitted anywhere on our premises. We appreciate our smoking guests & suggest taking a stroll around our delightful neighborhood. Please dispose of the filter responsibly in the receptacle provided by our driveway and never in the flower beds or room trash.
Gift Certificates are available, for those "What do I get them?" occasions! This is such a thoughtful gift for any special occasion. They can be purchased for any dollar denomination and have a one year validation. We can do everything over the phone and get the certificate out to you in that day’s mail. If you have a special person who lives too far and would not be able to stay at Rhythm of the Sea we can offer BedandBreakfast.com gift cards. These can be redeemed directly at nearly 4,000 B&B’s throughout the US and Canada.
